Las Vegas without the crowds and costs.
– review of the hotel & casino (Las Vegas).
Las Vegas is the ultimate mecca of super-indulgence but the costs and crowds can quickly wipe you out. If you want a break from the Vegas Strip and spending hours trying to park, waiting for a table to eat and getting through the crowds, then stay at the Silverton Casino and Hotel. It is literally a stone’s throw away from the Strip with ample parking and it has all the Las Vegas features you’d want and expect.
Silverton Casino is your premier gambling destination with over 1,500 slot machines including some of my new favorites like the Walking Dead, Big Bang Theory, Oz and my favorite, Willy Wonka. There are 26 game tables to test your luck in black jack and all the hot poker games. But, what really makes the Silver Casino stand out on the gaming front is their incredible Race and SportsBook area. I was blown away by their Tekumi 4mm LED Video Wall that stands at an impressive 53ft wide. Nice, comfy, spacious chairs set you in front of all the stats and games you need. With the NCAA Basketball Tourney, and the NHL and NBA playoffs around the corner, this is definitely the place to be.
Silverton Casino features many great restaurants and dining options for every taste. For an elegant and romantic evening, grab a table at Twin Creeks Steakhouse for some delectable steaks and seafood. If your taste buds are south of the border hit up Mi Casa Grill Cantina and order one of the best Margaritas in Vegas. The most popular place we saw was the new Wuhu Noodle. There was a line all the way around the corner of people craving a noodle bowl. We wanted the prototypical Las Vegas buffet experience so we checked out Silverton’s Seasons Buffet. Seasons Live Action Buffet had everything from delicious Lemon Chicken and Fried Rice to pizza and chef’s choice Italian chicken, also a huge salad bar with vegetable and oriental soups. You tried to save room for their ice cream bar, their chocolate cupcakes and a perfectly moist carrot cake.
The food and the casino were great but what really made Silverton stand out was their atmosphere. Joined to their casino and hotel was a giant two-story Bass Pro Shops stocked with waterfalls, a shooting game, mounted animals and apparel for every adventurous need. Blending magnificently with the shop is their 117,000 gallon aquarium which was made famous by the stars of the tv show Tanked. This enormous tank is the centerpiece of Silverton, filled with corals, rays and tropical fish. At certain times and days you can even see mermaids swimming around in it. You can get great views of the tank from the floor or from their Mermaid Restaurant and Lounge which also features two light changing jellyfish tanks.
Silverton Casino & Hotel features the best of Las Vegas while erasing much of the stresses found in other resorts along the Strip. It’s an Oasis found in the desert that you and your family will love and come back to again and again.
