The opportunity to be an integral part of a professional tennis match is available to kids in the South Florida community at the upcoming Delray Beach Open.
Applications for Ball Kids are now being accepted for the ATP World Tour and ATP Champions Tour events that will be played at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center Feb. 16-25, 2018.
Ball Kids must be 12 years old and attend a series of training sessions to prepare them to play a vital role in the professional matches. Each participant receives uniforms, meals during working sessions, match tickets for families and friends, and an invitation to the popular Ball Kids party.
Each ball kid must work at least three of the tournament’s 17 sessions, including matches on Saturday, Feb. 17 or Sunday, Feb. 18.
Training dates are Wednesday, Jan. 31 (5 – 7pm); Thursday, Feb. 8 (5 – 7pm), and Saturday, Feb. 10 (10am – noon). New applicants must attend two of the three training sessions.
